THE 4 HIGHLIGHTED SDG'S
SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation
For us, having (hot) water coming out of taps and access to sanitation is very obvious. But with drier and hotter summers, we already encounter scarcity of water from time to time. In the countries where we produce, these facilities are much less obvious.
SDG 8: Fair work and economic growth
Globally, 168 million children are working, 74 million young adults are unemployed and 60% of workers are working without a contract. The labour market must change to become more just, equal and secure.
SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production
We waste 30% of global food production today. We produce and consume without adequate consideration of the impact on the planet's natural resources. The current situation is unsustainable and therefore we need to ‘do more, with less’.
SDG 17: Partnership to achieve goals
The SDGs can only be achieved with a strong commitment to international partnerships and cooperation. Although ODA from developed countries increased by 66% between 2000 and 2014, humanitarian crises caused by conflicts or natural disasters continue to require financial resources and aid. Several countries need development assistance to boost growth and trade.
